Sahada Buckley is a violinist, interdisciplinary artist, and strings teacher living in Madison Wisconsin. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in Music Theory and Violin Performance. Currently, she is working on her Master’s Degree in Violin performance and studies with David Perry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Through her scholarship as a teaching assistant, she is a Marvin Rabin String Quartet member. She has attended festivals such as Meadowmount School of Music, Tanglewood BUTI, Montecito Music Festival, and Green Mountain Music Festival. In 2018, she performed as a soloist with the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra after winning the 2018 UGASO Concerto Competition. Sahada is the Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of The Eastern Shore Chamber Music Festival which will have its first season in Fairhope, AL in June 2022. She is an active performer with musicians within the free improvisation community. In April 2022, she performed with her experimental duo Girls With Hands at the New York City Electroacoustic Improvisation Summit. In 2019, she through-hiked the Appalachian Trail with a violin in her backpack. Sahada spends her free time walking her dog, painting, and attending ample concerts.
